Around thirty-five year ago, I was the college faculty advisor
for a group of student singers. 
The group was called the New Freedom Singers. 

This autonomous, student group was highly unusual
because it was totally run and directed by students:
pianist, conductor, president, try outs, etc. 
My role was like that of a parent. 
I watched and enjoyed what this marvelous student family created.

Each year, developed by the College Program Bureau,
a U.S.A. tour would be organized,
and the group would present their show
to various wards and stakes around the country.
The students would practice each week
in preparation of their annual tour.

I wanted to write an original song and present
it to the group leadership
to see if the song could be a part of some show. 

I created the melody but did not ever write lyrics. 
The song which I never shared with the group is here below. 
Now, in 2025, the melody has been enhanced
using Suno, an AI music software. 
Various style are presented. 

I still need to write some lyrics.
Maybe someday.
I just don’t want to be too hasty.
