Hubris
What saddens me?
Evil which grows when people violate the world’s highest laws:
The Ten Commandments and the commandments of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ teaches all people that He is the way.
His way means:
to refrain from judging others,
to practice forgiveness of others,
to love others who are unloveable.
What saddens me?
Human conflicts,
Human suffering,
Human bigotry.
What is human bigotry?
Bigots are people who are intolerably convinced that they are always right.
A bigot suffers from hubris, that is, excessive pride.
Behaviors caused by Hubris become self-defeating, and these behaviors damage our society because:
Hubris creates enemies
Hubris creates hatred
Hubris restricts our ability to understand others
and Hubris blocks feelings of empathy for others.
Hubris, a loathsome condition, restricts growth opportunities for others and for our societies:
It restricts richness and beauty,
It restricts prosperity,
And it restricts the growth and development of variety.
When practiced, it restricts freedom for others.
