No Stones Thrown

Verse 1
Early morning, in temple bright,
Jesus taught with truth and light.
Hungry hearts were gathered there,
Hope was shining like a prayer.
Verse 2
Then they brought a frightened soul,
Standing in the crowd, so low.
"Moses says that she must die.
Master, our stones will make her cry!"
Pre-Chorus
Jesus knelt and wrote in the dirt.
Heaven's silence filled the air.
Every eye was fixed on Him.
Every heart was feeling bare.
Chorus
If your hands are free from sin,
Cast the first stone if you can.
Mercy reached where judgment stood;
Love fulfilled the Father's plan.
One by one the stones fell down;
One by one the voices ceased.
Standing there was only Jesus,
Prince of Mercy, Prince of Peace.
Verse 3
One by one they turned away,
From the oldest to the last.
Conscience spoke a louder word,
Every hidden shadow passed.
Verse 4
Jesus looked into her eyes.
"Woman, where are your accusers?
Has no one condemned you now?"
"No one, Lord," was all she'd say.
Verse 5
"Neither do I condemn you now.
Go in peace and leave your sin.
Walk a new and better road.
Grace has given life again."
Final Chorus
If your hands are free from sin,
Cast the first stone if you can.
Mercy reached where judgment stood;
Love fulfilled the Father's plan.
Grace is greater than our shame.
Christ still calls us by our name.
When we fall, He lifts us up.
Forever faithful, still the same.
Ending
No stones to throw...
Only grace to give.
No stones to throw...
Because our Savior lives.
