Jordan, my child, Taught Me

Verse 1
Jordan was a perfect son,
Gentle, helpful, lots of fun.
One day, when small,
He stood mighty tall
With protests, all fine,
When I tried to kick our dog.

Verse 2
In public schools he excelled,
Intelligent, the answers knew.
But who knew, yes, who knew
What this precious son would do:
A medical doctor he became.
Now he helps the sick, the lame.

[Chorus]
Jordan’s behaviors seem divine.
Helps the weak sometime.
He taught me. Oh, he taught me,
To always prime the kindness pump
When bouncing over dry-deep bumps.

[solo]

Verse 3
With goodness unsurpassed,
Anchored deeply in his soul
Seeps thoughts of kindness
Creating good deed that last.
He knows just what to do
For me, my son is partly divine.
I love my time with Jordan.

Verse 4
Jordan’s love of music is strong,
Has a band. His friends belong.
He’s a father, this noble man,
Helping children fits his plan.
In his garden plants abound,
Thousands growing he can name.
He know their Latin names,
Every type he wants to claim.

[Chorus]
Jordan’s behaviors seem divine.
Helps the weak sometime.
He taught me. Oh, he taught me,
To always prime the kindness pump
When bouncing over dry-deep bumps.

Verse 6
Jordan travels to foreign lands,
Helping others, learning more.
Yet he honors mom and dad,
Kind and helpful as an ice cream store.

[Chorus]
Jordan’s behaviors seem divine.
Helps the weak sometime.
He taught me. Oh, he taught me,
To always prime the kindness pump
When bouncing over dry-deep bumps.
